When
should I call Tomball Moving & Storage?
If you need
to move today, we can probably do that. If you require a written in-home
estimate, you should call about 2 to 3 weeks before your move. We generally
just ask you to give us as much notice as you can.
How
long does Tomball Moving & Storage need for an in-home estimate?
Usually no more than an hour.
What
are my responsibilities?
In brief ...
- Be present during
the packing and moving of your furnishings.
- Take personal responsibility
for jewelry, important papers and other high value items.
- Check and sign
the inventory of your furnishings, if requested.
- Ensure that no
prohibited items are packed.

What can or can I not take with me?
Generally, dispose of all flammables, liquids, foods,petroleum products
and other items that should not be shipped. Anything that can deteriorate
should not be shipped. If you have a question about anything, feel free
to give us a call.
Is
there anything that is definitely not shippable?
There are the obvious items - drugs, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, flammables,
harsh chemicals and petroleum products.
What
about my car?
Tomball Moving & Storage does not transport automobiles, however there
are many auto transport companies that can certainly do so.
What
if I pack myself?
You certainly may do so. Be aware, however, of potential problem. For
instance, valuation coverage will not pay out on goods packed by their
owner, unless the exterior of the carton is damaged.
How
long long does it take to pack my goods?
Normally 1-2 days, however, every home is different.
Can
I leave my clothes in their drawers?
Yes, as long as you leave only clothing in the drawers.
How
am I covered in case of damages?
All shipments through Tomball Moving & Storage have actual cash value
protection at no charge to you. However, your homeowner's policy may protect
you also.
Can I be moved in one day?
Generally, local moving can be done in one day. Intrastate (in-state)
moves usually are loaded one day and delivered the following day, unless
the distance dictates otherwise.
How
do I pay for my moving services?
Generally, as with most moving companies, we require payment in the
form of cash, Cashier's check, certified check or money order. We do not
accept personal checks, as most banks no longer allow verification of
funds and will not allow us to cash the check at your bank.
